Dead Air: Mixed Signals Expansion

MIXED SIGNALS is an expansion for DEAD AIR which contains all the familiar, grim hopelessness of the base game with the added excitement of getting into arguments with your closest friends and loved ones in 2 brand-new multiplayer modes.

Radio Hell is a 2-player “co-operative” mode in which you and another player take on the roles of presenter and producer. Each turn the producer will write a script for the presenter who must then attempt to read it live on-air. Players swap roles each turn and must carefully attempt to sabotage each other without jeopardising the remit.

Maybe you’re introducing a guest when your producer whispers in your ear that no one has been booked this week, or maybe you’re already reporting the recent discovery of fresh water in Aberdeen when you’re handed a note informing you that the script should read “flesh water”. Problems arise as-live and it’s up to each player to handle them as smoothly as possible without disrupting the broadcast.

Versus Mode allows multiple players to each take on the role of their own rival stations. Remits, news items and even problems in this mode are designed to directly oppose everything your opponents are saying and it’s up to you to convince the listening public that you’re the one with the Real Story. Make use of equipment, resources and time on-air to lie, cheat and slander your way to whatever The Powers That Be deem “victory”.

Dead Air: Mixed Signals is an expansion book for Dead Air, a copy of the core Dead Air book is necessary to be able to play the new game modes.
