US Tarrif And Shipping Issues
Share
We've just discovered the frustrating news that the UK is temporarily pausing shipping to the US because of Trump's de minimis tarrif changes. We found this out at the post office when they let us know that they can't ship anything to the US that needs a customs form, which our books do.
News on the situation is constantly changing. Just last week, we were waiting to find out if books would be exempt from the tarrifs as we didn't want to surprise you with a $80 customs fee. Royal Mail are now saying they're introducing a new Duties Paid shipping option on Thursday but we'll have to wait and see what that looks like.
For the time being, we've removed the ability to order physical books to US addresses as we don't know what's going to happen in the short and long term. Once the situation stabilises, we'll sort out the new US shipping prices and open up US orders again.
For the 10 or so US orders that got knocked back at the post office, we'll be issuing refunds later this week if the Duties Paid shipping option doesn't solve the issue quickly.
Fingers crossed this all gets resolved soon.
Best,
Anna
